We provide much-needed assistance to several organisations and groups in need by providing them different opportunities and experience to work through the use of resources and technology.
MODAL ORGANISATION FOR OPPRESSED AND NEGLECTED SOCIETY (MOON) is registered social service voluntary organization, established in 2007. It is based in Podalakuru Road, SPSR Nellore District, Pin: 524 004 Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. This organization was formed with the co-operation of dedicated social workers. The organization formed with no profit motive and dedicated to solve the identified problems of women from weaker sections. This organization aims to become a significant contributor in the field of social development sector that provides a challenging environment and opportunities to work on state of the art technology and to tap into the people's potential to the maximum extent.

To become a significant contributor in the field of the social development sector to an esteemed organization that provides a challenging environment and opportunities to work and state of the art technology and the ability to tap into the potential of much needed groups.
OUR MISSION
MOON with the rural poor, visualizes that the poor, the needy and the vulnerable are enhanced towards improved living conditions having collective social strengths and capacities that enables them for a sustained livelihoods and social status and focusing that the women are empowered and engendered and where people trend-set to social justice, peace and harmony and an assured hopeful to the groups in need.
Our Programs
Awareness programs on Sustainable Agriculture Farmers:
Agriculture is one of the main concerns of the organization and so the Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) awareness activities are taken up for the benefit of the farmers in the villages. The selected farmers are given training on these two practices for getting high yields and reducing the investment cost. Similarly, the farmers are also educated to go for organic farming and organize demonstrations for setting up vermin-compost units. We supported 25 small farmers with mini vermin-compost units containing cement rings and vermin's for production of vermi compost at household level.
Campaigns on Child Rights and RTE Act
MOON conducted child rights awareness campaigns in 2 operational districts covering 20 villages in this reporting year. Further we have conducted awareness camps on the Right to Education Act (RTE Act) for community members, teachers, PRI members and youth. Undertaken Capacity building programs for School Management Committees on RTE act and child rights in Nellore district covering 2 mandals where nearly 254 members attended the training programs. These SMCs were given specific targets for the next academic year by raising local resources for creating different infrastructure facilities and other facilities needed by the children.
Swatch Bharath Programmes
Swatcha Bharat Abhiyan is a Clean India drive and Mission launched as a National Campaign by the Indian Government in order to covering the statutory towns aiming maintained cleanliness of streets, roads and infrastructure of the country. Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has officially launched this mission on 2nd of October (The birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi) While launching the event Prime Minister himself had cleaned the road. It is the biggest cleanliness drive ever in India when approximately 3 million Government employees including students from schools and colleges. Moon organized Swachh Bharat Campaign and provided Cleanliness, Awareness, Plantation, Environmental programmes in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh State. Eliminate open, defecation by constructing toilets for households, communities Eradicate manual scavenging Introduce modern and scientific municipal solid waste management practices Enable private sector participation in the sanitation sector Change people's attitudes to sanitation and create awareness.

Our organization's agarbatti training program in Driver's Colony, Nellore, teaches vital job skills. We focus on making agarbattis, teaching raw material choice, production, quality control, and packaging. With hands-on practice, participants gain valuable experience in making agarbattis.30-Jul-2021
